Privacy policy

Renkonta is an invoicing and income-reconciliation app for freelancers. This policy explains what data we handle, why, and the rights you have. Plain language, no surprises.
Who is responsible
Renkonta (working title; company details will be completed before public launch) operates the app and this website. Contact: hello@renkonta.com.
What we collect
Account data: your email address and password (stored as a salted hash by our authentication provider), or the identity confirmation from Apple or Google if you sign in with them.
Business data you enter: your company profile, clients, invoices, imported payment statements and matching decisions. This is your data — we store it so the app can work; we do not sell it or use it for advertising.
Device-local preferences (language, reminders, onboarding answers) stay on your device.
We run no advertising or cross-site tracking. The website sets no marketing cookies.
Why we process it
To provide the service (contract): storing your invoices, matching payments, producing exports.
To meet legal duties: invoices are subject to statutory retention periods in your country.
With your consent, where required (e.g. reminders/notifications on your device).
Where it lives
Your data is stored with Supabase (PostgreSQL) in an EU region. Documents you export or share leave the system only when you share them.
Service providers
Supabase (database, authentication, storage).
Apple and Google, if you use their sign-in or, once live, in-app purchases — governed by their own terms.
Stripe, only for optional client payment links on your invoices, once enabled.
We add processors only when a feature needs them, and update this page when we do.
Retention
Your data stays as long as your account exists. Invoice documents may need to be kept for statutory retention periods (typically 7–10 years, country-dependent) even after deletion requests — we tell you when that applies.
Your rights
Access and portability: Settings → Export my data gives you a complete JSON export, self-serve.
Erasure: Settings → Delete all my data removes your company, invoices and transactions permanently.
You can also contact us to exercise any GDPR right, and you may lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.
Changes
We will update this policy as the product evolves (e.g. when payments or bank connections go live) and mark the date above.
